A man of integrity is the first thing that comes to my mind when asked about Dasu Kesava Rao. Being a part of the powerful fourth estate comes with huge responsibility and his diligence has meant a controversy free, unbiased of any ideology or party color. A humble, grounded journalist who is respected for his work and discipline. His contribution towards the field of Journalism is being recognized rather late in his career. The budding young lot of “sensational” journalists who create mountain out of a mole hill with belief in abuse and slander need to look at Kesava Rao Garu as an inspiration. With his retirement, the widely read newspaper The Hindu has lost its credibility, vocabulary, and readers.The combined state of Andhra Pradesh has about 15,000 accredited journalists today highest in the country, and not many can be given credit of following journalistic ethics.
I hope youngsters who are into this profession follow the path laid down by Kasinadhuni Nageshwara Rao, Veeresham Panthulu, Suravaram Prathapreddy and Dasu Kesava Rao.
My best wishes to Dasu Kesava Rao Garu on being honored by Sriramulu Telugu University for his contribution in the field of Journalism.
